Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Diboll plant in Texas is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems, and welding/fabrication skills.

You will input work orders, maintain records, and support safety and team training efforts. Successful candidates will have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, be capable of reading blueprints, and willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts, with potential weekend/holiday

Qualifications

• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps.
• Three or more years in Industrial Maintenance.
• Experience with fabrication and welding.
• Mentoring Mechanical Maintenance Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, repair and maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission and steam systems.
• Use computers to input work orders and maintain records.
• Replace defective parts using welding and machine shop tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Create job plans for future repairs and reference.
• Share knowledge through training and technical assistance.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Work in high places and confined spaces; lift up to 50 lbs.
