Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a dedicated Millwright at our Diboll, Texas lumber mill to troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures and perform preventive maintenance according to a scheduled system. The role requires a safety-focused approach and a commitment to a clean, safe work environment.

You will install, maintain, replace and repair mechanical systems, work rotating day/night shifts, and support production goals while following plant safety guidelines and continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications

• At least five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least five years of welding experience, including fabrication and structural work.
• Experience using CMMS and troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and basic electrical.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain the installation, maintenance, replacements, and repairs of mechanical systems within a manufacturing operation
• Uphold personal safety and plant safety/environmental guidelines
• Meet and exceed production waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program and keep a clean workspace
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed
