Job summary
Georgia-Pacific's particleboard facility in Diboll, Texas is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a 12-hour rotating shift across our production department. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, maintain PLCs and VFDs, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
The ideal candidate has experience with PLCs, a background in industrial electrical maintenance, and familiarity with multiple voltages.
Qualifications
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs.
- Two years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters and ammeters.
- Experience with different voltages (DC, 3-phase, medium voltage).
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits.
- Maintain, program, and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
- Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and related control systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics for installation and repair.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
