Job summary

VERBIO North America is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to oversee planning and coordination of mechanical maintenance at the South Bend, IN facility. You will work with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance and equipment reliability.

The role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance, safety, and data-driven planning. Salary is commensurate with experience and region, with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance planning experience.
• Ability to read operating procedures, manuals and drawings.
• Proficiency with Excel and CMMS preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure staff follow safety protocols.
• Plan and schedule mechanical maintenance tasks including resources and timeframes.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Lead or support troubleshooting and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to align maintenance with operations.
• Maintain CMMS data, work orders, and historical records.
• Coordinate material, parts, and labor requisitions for maintenance work.
• Conduct post-maintenance reviews to improve job plans.
• Support RCFA and corrective action implementation.
• Participate in weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
• Assist with planning and executing plant shutdowns and outages.
• Prepare and deliver maintenance reports and performance data.
• Provide documentation in support of bids and contractor management.
