Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation in Reading, PA seeks an experienced Maintenance Planner to organize maintenance activities for the Area Maintenance team. You will ensure resources, materials, and procedures are ready prior to scheduling, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and external vendors to enable safe, cost-effective execution.

The role requires 5 years of craft-level mechanical experience, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with TPM/LEAN and safety

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as qualified craft personnel (Mechanical) in heavy industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Formal Shutdown Planning certification desirable.
• Formal Maintenance Planning certification desirable.
• Lean/TPM knowledge preferred.
• Proactive problem solving with downtime minimization.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance activities for the assigned Area Maintenance team and ensure resources are available before scheduling.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Coordinator, Engineering, vendors, and procurement to ensure safe, reliable execution.
