Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Mechanical Integration Engineer in the Austin, TX or Remote USA role. You will lead the integration of mechanical systems for Data Center Infrastructure, Energy Storage Systems, and HVAC, from specifications to transition to manufacturing.

You will design, validate, and optimize components, manage vendors, and drive test plans ensuring high reliability and safety across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical system integration.
• Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations.
• Familiarity with Energy Storage Systems and Data Center Infrastructure standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with WindChill and DevOps is a plus.
• Combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and engineering drawing services to support manufacturing of metal frames, panels, enclosures, and mounting solutions.
• Ensure shop drawings comply with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Analyze customer proposals to evaluate feasibility and cost of designs.
• Design, validate, and analyze machined parts and mechanical components to meet requirements.
• Lead test process implementation and equipment selection for reliability.
• Develop CAD models, BOMs, and test plans; perform FEM analyses as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contract manufacturers; monitor project milestones.
