Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for the Cheyenne Power Hub Project in Cheyenne, WY, with potential start in Reston, Houston, or Cheyenne. You will support preconstruction planning and field mobilization for balance of plant systems in a large gas-fired facility.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, assisting in installation, material verification, and coordinating with superintendents. Requires a mechanical engineering degree and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires mechanical engineering bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and specs for balance of plant in CCGT area.
• Support installation of rotating equipment, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and BOP systems.
• Verify materials and support field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals.
• Draft change notices and assist with cost/schedule tracking.
• Ensure safety, quality, and conformance with codes and standards.
