Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Field Engineer to support the Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Area on the Cheyenne Power Hub Project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The role covers earthworks, foundations, concrete and structural scopes, interpreting drawings, preparing installation work packages, and providing field technical support.

You will collaborate with engineers, superintendents and craft professionals, manage field material and quantities, and ensure safe, compliant execution on a large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of civil/structural construction methods and ACI standards.
• Able to read and interpret civil design drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, sketches and installation work packages; plan methods, sequence and resource loading.
• Prepare field change documents and track information for change notices and amendments.
• Manage field material quantities, issue materials and track purchases.
• Ensure safety and quality control; inspect materials and workmanship against codes and drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, superintendents and craft professionals on design and constructability.
