Job summary

Bechtel in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to support HRSG duct, SCR and stack scope on the Cheyenne Power Hub Project.

You will interpret drawings, prepare installation work packages, verify materials, and coordinate with field supervision, design engineering and subcontractors. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare installation work packages, field sketches, and docs for HRSG duct, SCR and stack scope.
• Prepare RFIs, field change docs and as-built records; coordinate with design engineering.
• Inspect materials and verify storage and readiness; review vendor/subcontractor submittals.
• Verify installed quantities and provide progress data for schedule and cost.
• Support testing, turnover, and resolution of non-conformances.
• Coordinate constructability questions with engineering and field supervision.
