Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Piping Field Engineer to support the Aeros and Fuel Cells area on the Cheyenne Power Hub CCGT Project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The role focuses on interpreting piping drawings, supporting installation and fabrication, and ensuring material verification in the field.

Responsibilities include planning work packages, coordinating with craft professionals, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

Requires knowledge of piping construction, including above and below ground systems, pipe hangers, inline components, and line testing.
Experience with safety standards and code compliance in field construction.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a field environment.

Responsibilities

Prepares construction drawings, sketches, and installation work packages and aids planning of construction methods and sequencing.
Manages field material requisitions, inspects material and tracks purchases in procurement systems.
Reviews subcontractor and vendor submittals for compliance and responds to RFIs.
Ensures safety and quality control by enforcing zero-accident philosophy and inspecting workmanship against specs.
Supports superintendents and craft teams by interpreting design documents and coordinating constructability solutions.
