Job summary

Bechtel seeks a Surveyor Field Engineer in Cheyenne, WY, to support the CCGT Area on the Cheyenne Power Hub project. You will use design drawings, models, and specifications to locate commodities, maintain survey control, and produce CAD deliverables and as-built records.

You will operate robotic total stations, GNSS, and support UAV and 3D laser scanning, collaborating with Field Engineering and supervision while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a land surveying engineering degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience in heavy construction or industrial surveying.
• Proven safety-focused work ethic and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and at heights.
• Experience with modern robotic total stations, GNSS systems, and field-to-office workflows.

Responsibilities

• Layout construction work accurately and record field data per specifications.
• Establishes and maintains the project survey control network and performs adjustments.
• Prepare survey reports and deliver CAD drawings and as-built records.
• Provide survey support to Field Engineering and Field Supervision on multiple fronts.
