Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for the Cheyenne Power Hub Project in Cheyenne, WY, with potential start at Reston, Houston, or Cheyenne. This role supports preconstruction planning and field mobilization on a major EPC project.

You will interpret mechanical drawings, support installation of rotating equipment, tanks, heat exchangers, and BOP systems, and provide technical support to superintendents, foremen, and craft professionals to ensure safety and quality.

Formación

• Requires mechanical engineering bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, tanks, vessels and heat exchangers.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and related codes and standards.
• Willingness to work extended schedules and night shifts as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare construction drawings, sketches, and installation work packages for CCGT scopes.
• Prepare field change documents; support RFI verifications and amendments.
• Assemble cost estimates and review BOMs; monitor cost and schedule related to project controls.
• Coordinate material requisitions, deliveries, and storage for field use; inspect materials.
• Inspect and verify equipment installation with field workmanship and documentation.
• Draft change notices and back charges; support installation methods and safety compliance.
