Intramotev in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to own the technical direction and execution of all mechanical systems on our self-propelled battery-electric railcars and vehicles — structures, powertrains, thermal management, and braking systems — from concept through production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering and design experience for vehicles or complex industrial equipment, including time in a technical leadership role.
• Expert-level proficiency with 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks) and PLM/PDM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers, owning performance, technical growth, and career development.
• Direct the complete design lifecycle of mechanical systems from concept through production.
• Oversee 3D CAD models, drawings, and structural/thermal analyses (FEA).
• Drive project milestones, ensuring designs meet schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and manufacturing leaders as the primary mechanical contact.
• Promote DFM/DFA and GD&T best practices.
• Own mechanical data flow: PLM/PDM administration, release processes, revision control, and BOM accuracy.
• Make pivotal technical decisions on mechanical design and architecture.
