Job summary

Intramotev in St. Louis, MO seeks an Associate Software Engineer to help build software for self-propelled battery-electric railcars and vehicles. This entry-level, in-office role places you across embedded, full-stack, controls, or perception domains based on your strengths and program needs.

You’ll write and test software from requirements, debug on real hardware, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; open to recent graduates.
• 0–2 years of software development experience (internships ok).
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python or similar OO language.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing, debugging, and version control (git).
• Willingness to grow into new areas and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software across embedded, full‑stack, controls, or perception domains.
• Debug code against requirements and acceptance criteria; write tests.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers for integration.
• Use git and team workflows for code reviews, issues, and releases.
• Participate in cross‑disciplinary projects and product demonstrations.
