Job summary

Intramotev in St. Louis is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the production team building self-propelled battery-electric railcars and vehicles. You’ll develop and document assembly processes, specify tooling, support quality and first-article inspection, and work with suppliers on NPI and ramp.

This is a full-time, 100% in-office role based in St. Louis, MO, with occasional travel to support integration and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Open to December 2026 and May 2027 graduates.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing engineering or process development experience.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs into build processes.
• Able to author clear assembly work instructions for technicians.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (Inventor, Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Hands-on on the shop floor with technicians and fabrication equipment.
• Willingness to expand into new technical areas and develop novel approaches.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. F‑1 OPT supported.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineering to feed DFM/DFA input into part and assembly designs.
• Define, document, and improve assembly processes and work instructions.
• Specify and implement fixtures, tools, and equipment.
• Support first-article and incoming inspection, process validation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Support new product introduction and production ramp with suppliers.
