Job summary

Intramotev, based in St. Louis, MO, is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own detailed design for vehicle integration hardware and enclosure systems on our self-propelled battery-electric railcar platform.

The role involves concept-to-production work, with occasional travel for testing and integration. You will work within a small team of engineers, applying GD&T, DFMA, and thermal/EMI considerations to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions for vehicle integration and electronics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on mechanical design experience.
• Experience with enclosure design, thermal management, and EMI considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mechanical design for vehicle integration hardware and enclosures.
• Perform and review structural and thermal analyses to validate designs.
• Develop manufacturable designs with GD&T and DFMA in mind.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize cost and buildability.
• Create test plans and support validation activities to meet requirements.
