Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate in Billings, MT to support design, analysis, and oversight of mechanical systems for the building industry. You will work on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs with mentorship and hands-on experience, growing with our ESOP-owned firm.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project tasks, and contribute to energy-efficient design aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and requirements.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support project execution as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks with senior engineers.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Prioritize safety in engineering work.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
