Job summary

IMEG Corp in Idaho Falls is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate to join our team for Summer 2027. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship and training to grow your expertise from day one.

You will work with experienced engineers on mechanical systems for industrial, manufacturing, and MEP projects, contributing to high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, is required.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specs.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics for building systems.
Experience with industry-standard engineering software including HVAC load calculation tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems per codes and IMEG standards.
Support project execution, budgeting, and client communication within a project team.
Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and PMs to deliver integrated solutions.
Help plan, schedule, and monitor project progress and decisions.
Prepare documentation of design decisions and client instructions.
Contribute to quality control and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
