Job summary

IMEG Corp in Rock Island, IL is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate for Summer 2027. This entry-level role provides hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship and training from day one.

You will assist in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection system design for educational and campus projects, work within budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, high‑quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Internship experience in building design consulting preferred.
• Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of design techniques, tools and concepts for engineering plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information effectively.
• Support project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Support IMEG quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
