Job summary

Allegion's Stanley Access Technologies in Farmington, CT or Greenfield, IN seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in design, development, and continuous improvement of door systems and NPD/VAVE initiatives.

You will oversee phase gate readiness, engineering changes, and data integrity across Windchill and ERP while driving a culture of inclusivity, accountability, and innovation. Travel up to 25% between Farmington and Mt Comfort locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 5+ years in engineering with leadership experience.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software and PLM/ERP systems; knowledge of ECN/MCN processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering and configuration teams; drive data-driven manpower planning and resource alignment.
• Oversee New Product Development (NPD), legacy updates, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE).
• Direct engineering change processes (ECN/MCN/CIB) and audit data alignment across Windchill, ERP, and cutsheets.
• Champion cradle-to-grave ownership by leading cross-functional teams to resolve issues and field escalations.
• Manage enterprise engineering tools and drive Part-Centric rollouts; promote innovation (e.g., AI tooling).
• Collaborate with Global Supply Management to optimize designs for manufacturability and installation.
