Job summary

Taco, Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking a Sr. Manager, Mechanical Engineering to lead new product development and sustaining activities for residential products.

You will guide a team of engineers through the phase gate process and translate department initiatives into actionable plans aligned with corporate goals. You will oversee budgeting, enforce engineering standards, collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Quality, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of programs while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 10+ years leading teams and managing projects in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with ERP, PLM and ETQ systems.
• Strong project planning, organizational management, and technical leadership.
• Proficient with PDM and CAD software.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers for NPD and sustaining support.
• Transform initiatives into tactical plans to support R&D goals.
• Develop and manage annual department budgets.
• Enforce department policies and procedures.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget completion of projects.
• Maintain quality engineering deliverables and documentation.
