SSOE Group is seeking a Mechanical Intern for a part-time role in Spring 2027, or full-time during Summer 2027. The position is onsite at our Boise location, and remote or hybrid work is not available.

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior in academic year.
• Must be registered with Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Salary range provided: $20–$23 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks under close supervision by Department Manager or designee.
• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge using CAD tools.
• Learns and follows department standards, methods, and procedures.
• Meet deadlines on daily duties or projects as assigned.
• Occasional local travel may be required; valid driver’s license may be waived for international assignments.

SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Intern for Part-Time in the Spring 2027 or Full-time during the Summer 2027. This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Boise location each day.

Remote or hybrid work for this role is not available

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, CAD (Revit, autocad, or other 3D based design software).
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled in a ABET accredited engineering school majoring in Mechanical Engineering or technically related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
