Job summary

SSOE Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This onsite internship requires daily in-person attendance at our Nashville office. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

You will work under supervision, gaining exposure to civil/structural engineering tasks, with opportunities to use Revit and AutoCAD alongside seasoned engineers. Strong organizational skills are valued, and coursework in structures is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program with Civil Engineering focus or related coursework.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the OPEP or equivalent Co-op office.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Preferred: Structures and concrete coursework.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee.
• Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027.

This is an onsite position in our Nashville, TN office. The role requires daily in-person attendance at one of these locations, and remote or hybrid work is not available.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program, majoring in Civil Engineering with interest in the Structural Engineering track or completed structural engineering coursework.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent Co-op office.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Preferred: Strcutures, concrete coursework
• Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
