Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design tasks under supervision.

• Meet deadlines for daily duties and special projects.
• Occasional travel may be required; valid driver’s license typically needed.

SSOE is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Atlanta Office each day. Remote or hybrid work for this role is not available.

Responsibilities

• 1. Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• 2. Apply knowledge of power, low-and-medium-voltage electrical designs, CAD (Revit, AutoCAD, or other 3D based design software).
• 3. Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• 4. Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects assigned by DM or designee.
• 4. Occasional travel may be required.
• 5. Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled in a ABET accredited engineering school majoring in Electrical Engineering or technically related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
