Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to work onsite at our Atlanta office. The internship emphasizes hands-on experience with power and low-to-medium voltage electrical designs, CAD workflows, and collaboration with experienced engineers.

You must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited EE program, rising junior or senior, with strong organizational skills. Travel may be occasional, and salary ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, depending on year in school.

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program majoring in Electrical Engineering or a technically related discipline.
• Rising junior or senior year preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee.
• Applies knowledge of power, low- and medium-voltage electrical designs and CAD workflows.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures.
• Meets deadlines on daily duties or special projects.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required; waiver for some international assignments may apply.

SSOE is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Atlanta Office each day. Remote or hybrid work for this role is not available.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Apply knowledge of power, low-and-medium-voltage electrical designs, CAD (Revit, AutoCAD, or other 3D based design software).
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
