Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 12-14 week program (May to August). You will help implement process improvements and collaborate across the organization on design for manufacturability and cost savings.

You will read drawings, apply structured problem solving, and document processes. The role offers exposure to capital projects, yield improvements, and cross-functional teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Current college Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Project management and structured problem solving with data-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team to implement manufacturing process improvements.
• Collaborate with mentors to identify methods for automating processes.
• Utilize a structured engineering approach to deploy best practices for process control and to improve yields.
• Initiate and/or update documentation of processes into work instructions.
• Compare existing manufacturing practices with benchmarks and industry standards.
• Lead capital project efforts to resolve production capacity and technology capability issues.
• Present project updates to the local leadership team.
• Limited travel required for workshops and trade shows.
