Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Richmond, VA. You will join a team of engineers and designers to work on multiple projects related to HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for government facilities.

You will learn to apply engineering principles, prepare drawings with Revit, and perform calculations under supervision while gaining real-world experience in a dynamic office setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and learn quickly.
• Experience with Revit or comparable BIM tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports, design documents, and calculations.
• Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel
• Use Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details
• Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems
• Collaborate with project teams
