Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Buildings team in Richmond, VA. You will work with engineers and designers on multiple projects, contributing to lighting, power distribution and energy efficiency efforts under supervision.

The role offers hands-on experience, understanding of project workflows, and opportunities to learn Revit while supporting health and safety initiatives. Office-based with some field exposure, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Candidate pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts and calculations.
• Ability to learn Revit and apply engineering fundamentals to projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with Building Electrical Engineers to prepare drawings, calculations, specs and details using Revit and Excel.
• Help ensure quality of project deliverables and adhere to department standards.
• Assist in development of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, energy efficiency and fire alarm for government facilities.
