Job summary

Burns & McDonnell invites aspiring engineers to join our team as an Engineering Intern in Atlanta. You will perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers on projects, and help update designs.

The role offers exposure to aviation and federal market work and a pathway to full-time opportunities. Candidates should be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program, with ABET accreditation preferred, and demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with various project duties and design updates.
• Support design work, project coordination, and documentation as assigned.
