Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Atlanta to assist with standard engineering tasks, update designs, and support lead engineers on diverse projects. The role includes filing, data entry, and preparing documentation and PowerPoint presentations across Aviation & Federal markets.

Ideal candidates pursue a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET preferred) with strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized, accredited program.
ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
Active campus, community or other volunteer involvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentation.
Assist with responses to general questions.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
Present solutions to concerns.
Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
