Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Chicago offers an internship designed for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering. You will perform Revit design, CAD tasks, and light field work on local projects under close supervision.

This role emphasizes learning, collaboration with a senior engineer, and development of drafting skills. The position is full-time and pays hourly with a comprehensive benefits overview.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD as drafting tools.
• Willingness to work under supervision and learn on local projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce CADD drawings.
• Perform field work evaluating existing sites as directed by senior engineer/designer.
• Participate in mechanical design including building load calculations, ductwork and equipment layouts.
• Assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
