Stantec’s Buildings team invites a motivated student intern to join a collaborative design environment in Chicago. Under guidance from a Senior Engineer/Designer, you will assist with CADD drawings, site evaluations, and mechanical design tasks on local projects.

The role emphasizes learning through hands-on tasks, with opportunities to engage in building load calculations, ductwork layouts, and coordination with a project team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong willingness to learn and contribute to design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Produce CADD drawings under supervision.
• Perform field work evaluating existing sites as directed.
• Contribute to mechanical design through building load calculations and layouts.
• Support engineering tasks on projects of varying complexity.
• Take direction and incorporate feedback from senior staff.
