Job summary

Stantec in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to begin as a Designer in the structural engineering group. You will produce project deliverables that meet standards and perform basic technical tasks under guidance.

You will collaborate with a team to develop design documents and reports, apply basic engineering concepts in structural design and analysis, and coordinate tasks with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with REVIT and CAD within your discipline.
• Aptitude and drive to analyze complex problems and convey solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Works with a team of technical staff to develop project deliverables ranging from design documents to technical reports.
• Applies knowledge of basic engineering concepts, principles, practices, and procedures for structural design, analysis, and investigation.
• Coordinates tasks with other teams across the firm and outside sources.
• Assists project engineer with more advanced technical activities.
• Uses REVIT and CAD to prepare project deliverables and production tasks.
