Job summary

Stantec is seeking a motivated engineering intern to support the Buildings team in Chicago, IL. You will produce CADD drawings, perform site evaluations, and assist with electrical design including load calculations and layouts under supervision.

Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, you will collaborate with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience on local projects and learn best practices in sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to participate in a project team setting and follow direction.

Responsibilities

• Production of CADD drawings.
• Perform field work at existing sites as directed by senior engineer/designer.
• Participation in electrical design including building load calculations, ductwork and equipment layouts.
• Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff.
