Job summary

CMTA, Inc. is seeking a motivated co-op student for hands-on experience in mechanical/HVAC design within a fast-growing engineering firm.

You will work on real CMTA projects under professional engineers, gaining skills in AutoCAD and Revit, and contributing to layout and drawings. This full-time, onsite position runs for multiple semesters, starting August 2026; expected to rotate through teams, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, preferably sophomore or junior.
• Interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems.
• Produce one-line diagrams/schematics.
• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.
• Assist in data collection and/or field verification.
• Work with designers and engineers to help develop all aspects of a project.
