Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Mechanical Engineering co-op in Minnesota to contribute to testing, development, and design of existing and new products. You will report to the Sr. Mgr, Engineering (ME) and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic lab setting.

The 6-month internship starts January 2026. Participation includes meaningful projects, networking, and exposure to different divisions within MKS. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
• Completed 2nd or 3rd year of study.
• Strong communication skills are expected.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lab test set-up and perform experiments.
• Work with 3D CAD, learning basics of CAM/CNC to support prototyping.
• Collaborate with a diverse, multifunctional team environment.
