Job summary

nVent is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in Solon, OH, for Jan - Aug 2027. The program offers rotations through Product Engineering, New Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Labs.

Co-ops gain hands-on experience with design, analysis, testing, and product approvals while exploring Lean/Six Sigma concepts. Eligible students are pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree (ME preferred), maintaining a 3.0+ GPA, and able to commit to an 8-month full-time co-op in Solon.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, mechanical or ME tech preferred.
• GPA 3.0 minimum and enrolled full-time or part-time.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in rotations across Product Engineering, New Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Labs and Product Approvals.
• Assist with engineering calculations and documentation for new and existing products.
• Build test plans, perform validations, and support compliance with codes and standards.
• Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles across rotations.
