Job summary

Clark-Reliance is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for Spring and Summer 2027 in Strongsville, OH. You will contribute to projects involving documentation updates, product design, testing, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least four semesters completed and some 3-D CAD experience; responsibilities include creating drawings, maintaining BOMs, and supporting manufacturing activities while learning ISO

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Completion of a minimum of four semesters of engineering coursework.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and OneNote.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.
• Ability to work effectively individually and in a collaborative team environment.
• Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D components/assemblies and engineering drawings using Autodesk design software.
• Prepare and process Controlled Document Changes (CDCs).
• Assist with researching and implementing part/material deviations.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP/MRP.
• Develop procedures to support and improve manufacturing processes.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction improvements.
• Support hands-on prototyping, assembly, and manufacturing activities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and customers.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards and rules.
• Support ISO-aligned quality assurance practices.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
• Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
