Job summary

Emerson is seeking an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student for a summer co-op in Elyria, Ohio. You will rotate through Engineering Lab, CAE, and Product Engineering, gaining hands-on experience with tests, data analysis, CAD modeling, and design development.

You will work full-time during the semester, learning from engineers and presenting a final design project to leadership. Sponsorship is not provided for work authorization in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Available to work full-time during the scheduled semester.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and conducting tests and gathering data.
• Analyze test data and learn data analysis techniques.
• Write test lab reports.
• Learn to use CAD (Solid Edge) for 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.
• Build new design concepts and detailed drawings using CAD.
• Assist engineers in product development and sustaining engineering activities.
• Learn to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.
• Deliver a final design project with conceptual design, CAD layout, prototype coordination, testing, and debugging.
