Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to partner with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and customers to develop vacuum isolation valves, fittings, and heater systems.

You will contribute to design, 3D modeling, and detailed drawings, work across product lifecycles, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and help bring products from concept to volume production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and engineering print creation.
• Knowledge of Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
• Technical experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and create drawings for vacuum isolation valves and related assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and customers.
• Develop custom mechanical manifold solutions and heater systems.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable for production scale-up.
• Conduct testing, validation, and design verification.
• Maintain and improve product documentation.
