Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This full-time role requires collaborating with mechanical, electrical and hardware teams to design hardware, create 3D models in NX, and produce design artifacts for critical design reviews.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 2 years related experience; master’s with 1 year (principal level 5 years with bachelor or 3 with master)
• Must be a US citizen with active Secret clearance, in scope
• Experience with CAD modeling using Siemens NX or similar

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Hardware Integration engineers to design hardware systems and components
• Apply ASME standard processes to identify, design, and procure hardware
• Support design of integrated assemblies to meet requirements and support design reviews
• Create design artifacts including 3D models and product definition packages using NX and PLM tools
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
