Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for New Product Development to assist in the design, analysis, testing, prototyping, and release of mechanical hardware for Nordco equipment. You will work under the Engineering Manager, applying Creo to design improvements and updating models and drawings as projects vary in difficulty.

The role emphasizes data analysis with mentor support, collaboration across departments, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience with design software, Creo preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and development of Nordco equipment components.
• Use Creo to complete design improvements and corrective actions.
• Update product models and drawings across projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering to support production initiatives.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and documents; communicate across departments.
• Acquire, plot, and analyze data with mentor support.
• Build cross-organizational relationships to complete tasks.
