Job summary

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Omaha team. The role offers hands-on experience in design, testing, documentation, and product development for irrigation and infrastructure products.

You will work with engineers on real projects, learn our engineering processes in a global manufacturing setting, and develop skills through meaningful assignments during the summer internship in Omaha, Nebraska.

Qualifications

• First year of undergraduate BS in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering completed.
• Familiarity with reading design drawings and schematics.
• 3D CAD experience a plus; willingness to learn.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering drawing updates and revisions.
• Support minor mechanical design and product development projects.
• Create and evaluate 3D printed product models and prototypes.
• Create and update Engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Assist with the creation and processing of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Support engineering test plans and validation activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to support product improvement initiatives.
• Participate in project discussions and provide updates on assigned tasks.
