Job summary

Lindsay Corporation is seeking an Irrigation Product Support Specialist Intern for Summer 2027 in Omaha, NE. The role is hourly, 40 hours/week, with a hybrid schedule (office Mon-Thu and optional Friday remote) based at 180th & Dodge in Omaha.

Responsibilities include answering calls and emails from customers, handling FieldNET-related support, and updating case records in our system. Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current pursuit in agriculture, engineering, business, or a combination of all three.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer focus.
• Critical thinking / problem solving
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and emails from Lindsay customers and dealers while following department standards for delivering world class customer service.
• Handle support cases on FieldNET telemetry products or FieldNET Advisor software questions.
• Open and close 100% of cases logged with detailed, accurate notes in the case management system.
• Process subscription requests for FieldNET telemetry activations.
• Build knowledge of the FieldNET product suite and its interaction with Lindsay Zimmatic products.
• Resolve basic customer issues and assist with basic configurations and troubleshooting.
• Assist with testing of enhancements, new products and features, or bug fixes for FieldNET.
• Perform hands-on product testing for new releases or quality investigations.
• Complete assigned tasks to support the Irrigation Product Support Team.
• Collaborate with FieldNET Team and Lindsay colleagues to support One Lindsay Culture.

Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Irrigation Product Support Specialist – Internship/Temporary, starting in either the spring or summer of 2027. This role will have global responsibilities for assisting FieldNET users (Dealers, Growers, and Internal) with operational and technical support needs through multiple medias. This position is responsible for handling support phone calls and emails from Lindsay customers/dealers and addressing inquiries regarding FieldNET products, FieldNET Advisor, irrigation systems, as well as troubleshooting any technical problems.

Position Details

This position is hourly at 40 hours per week.The position will be based at our corporate office located at 180th& Dodge in Omaha NE.This role works a hybrid work schedule, with Monday-Thursday in the office and with the option on Friday of working from home.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and emails from Lindsay customers and dealers while following department standards for delivering world class customer service.
• Handle Support Cases on FieldNET telemetry products or FieldNET Advisor software questions.
• Open and close 100% of cases logged. Case records must be detailed and accurate for every call or email to include details related to customer issues, status, progress, and problem resolutions utilizing our case management system.
• Process subscription requests for FieldNET telemetry activations.
• Build a general knowledge of the entire FieldNET product suite and how it interacts with our Lindsay Zimmatic products and third-party equipment.
• Resolve basic customer issues; help them understand how to use FieldNET, assist with basic configurations and troubleshooting.
• Assist with performing basic customer acceptance testing of enhancements, new products and features, or bug fixes for FieldNET.
• Hands-on product testing for new releases or quality investigation.
• Complete various assigned tasks to support the Irrigation Product Support Team.
• Work closely and build relationships with the FieldNET Team and other Lindsay employees to support our One Lindsay Culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or working towards a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, engineering, business, or a combination of all three.
• Previous experience working in an agricultural or electrical field. Any previous Customer Support roles or experience in customer-facing jobs is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer focus.
• Critical thinking / problem-solving skills, the ability to learn from doing, personal accountability, and a positive and professional attitude.
• Agronomic or Phenology background is a plus.
• Good organizational skills, a “glass half full” attitude, and the ability to multi-task is essential.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
