Job summary

Lindsay Corporation, a global leader in irrigation and infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern for a full‑time summer program at our Omaha, Nebraska headquarters. You will work on electronic hardware and embedded systems for IoT products, gaining hands‑on experience alongside experienced engineers.

You will contribute to hardware design, testing, and validation, while collaborating with firmware, software, quality, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Sophomore, junior, or senior standing preferred.
• Fundamentals of circuits and electronics are expected.
• Familiarity with circuit analysis and basic programming (C/C++/Python).
• Interest in hardware design, IoT, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and testing of electronic hardware and embedded systems for IoT products.
• Support hardware validation activities by conducting tests, collecting data, and documenting results.
• Assist engineers in evaluating prototypes, troubleshooting issues, and verifying design improvements.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, quality, and product engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Help create and maintain hardware documentation, test procedures, schematics, and technical reports.
• Participate in laboratory testing and assist with setting up and utilizing test equipment.
• Analyze test results and help identify opportunities for product improvements.
• Support investigations related to hardware performance, reliability, and functionality.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and engineering discussions to learn industry best practices.
• Present project outcomes and recommendations to engineering leadership and team members at the conclusion of the internship.
