Stanley Black & Decker in Elyria, OH, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team onsite. You will design and improve mechanical systems for our global brands, support launches with DFMEA and DVP&R, and collaborate with manufacturing to troubleshoot issues.

You’ll apply FEA/CFD as needed, liaise with sourcing for components, and travel up to 10% as required. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of detailed mechanical design or applications development experience preferred.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD and NX experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with Automated, Semi-Automated and Manual Nelson Stud Welding systems; identify improvements.
• Design, develop, and update mechanical systems for products and equipment.
• Support product launches via FMEA, DVP&R, and 8D methodologies.
• Provide expert mechanical assistance to manufacturing and repair teams.
• Coordinate complete system specifications to meet customer needs; travel up to 10%.
