Manufacturing Engineer – Onsite
Location: Sedalia, MO, United States
The Job
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing manufacturing operations to identify, develop, and implement improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design & Development: Create, test, and implement automated machinery, robotic systems, and software programs.
- Production System Design: Design, install, and troubleshoot new manufacturing equipment, tools, and production lines.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows to identify automation opportunities that enhance efficiency and lower costs.
- System Programming: Program and maintain Control Systems, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), for industrial processes.
- Documentation & Standards: Create, maintain, and update work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
- Quality Control: Evaluate products against specifications to ensure quality standards are met and resolve production issues.
- Support & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, quality, maintenance) to support new product launches and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
The Person
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), PLCs, robotics, and data analysis tools; programming languages (e.g., Python, C++), PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S) and production techniques; strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software engineering principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting complex automated systems, project management, and communication skills.
