Job summary

CesiumAstro in Westminster, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to design, analyze, and qualify mechanical systems for spacecraft products. You will apply GD&T, perform FEA, and collaborate with electronics packaging, manufacturing, and test teams.

The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering with at least one year of industry experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/ CATIA/ Creo/ AutoCAD), and good communication.

Qualifications

• BS and minimum 1 year of industry experience in design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, and engineering documentation practices.
• Experience with Engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar.
• Experience with CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical designs through all phases of development.
• Involve electronics packaging design, mechanical simulations and analyses, CAD, and environmental qualification of assemblies.
• Present engineering design review materials.
