Job summary

Falcata is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I in Huntsville, AL to join our Falcata PES team. You will design mechanical components, create 3D CAD models, and produce drawings for housings, enclosures, brackets, and adapters.

Collaborating with electrical and RF engineers, you will help integrate antennas and electronics, generate BOMs, and contribute to design reviews. Falcata offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including Shared Ownership and 401k Matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for part/assembly modeling and drawings
• Fundamental understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and tolerances
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Design and CAD modeling of mechanical housings, enclosures, brackets, and adapters
• Create BOMs and support prototype part procurement
• Apply DFM and tolerance considerations with guidance from senior engineers
• Collaborate with electrical and RF engineers to fit antennas and electronics
• Support integration of electronics into platforms via design modifications
• Coordinate with vendors for prototype fabrication
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototype systems
• Contribute to design reviews and documentation
