Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to contribute to aerospace and defense programs, with a focus on electronics packaging and mechanical design for military and commercial environments. Responsibilities include thermal and structural design/analysis, PWB processes, fabrication methods, RF isolation design, and environmental testing.

You will work alongside senior engineers on mechanical design, packaging, and testing activities, applying CREO and FEA skills to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM obtained by start date.
• Coursework/experience in calculus, physics, statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer.
• Experience with Conformal Antenna Array Packaging.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design and delivery of solutions for military and commercial environments.
• Engage in thermal and structural design/analysis, electrical component design, and PWB/CABLING processes.
• Support fabrication methods, RF isolation design, and environmental testing.
